Tiburon, CA – PROTECTOR Boats introduces its new line of luxury cabin boats, the 38’ TARGA SL.  Building on the success of PROTECTOR’s HAURAKI, TARGA and Center Console lines, TARGA SL is engineered for speed, comfort and safety in any weather conditions. Fully equipped with an extra large, Targa-inspired cabin, more open deck space, refrigerated storage, fully enclosed head, hydraulic shock absorbing pilot and co-pilot seating, extended hard top, sleeping accommodations for two and the distinguishing hypalon tubes, this design is perfect for the most adventurous of excursions. "Performance, our customers tell us, is what sets PROTECTOR apart from other boats in this category," explains President, Howard Shiebler. "PROTECTOR boats handle rough water more safely and comfortably than traditional hard-sided boats. Additionally, they are faster. Powered with twin Mercury 300 HP Verado engines the TARGA SL can comfortably hit 40+knots if you need to reach your destination quickly."

Protector History

Originally engineered for the New Zealand Coast Guard, PROTECTOR is a multi-purpose, high-performance, hard bottom inflatable powerboat. The solid laminate, fiberglass hull is built for strength and safety. The chambered hypalon tubes provide shock absorption, stability and additional flotation. Together, the deep-V hull and UV resistant tubes create unmatched safety and performance compared to traditional hard sided boat designs. In the United States, the PROTECTOR is used as a luxury recreational boat because its multi-functional design and quality build that has attracted the most discerning of boaters. Also, in line with the heritage of PROTECTOR, custom-equipped commercial boats have been built for police, fire and search and rescue teams across the country.
